Vinciya Pandian MSN, CRNP  received her BSN from Christian Medical College at Vellore, India, and her MSN from the Johns Hopkins University. She has been working as a tracheostomy nurse practitioner for the last 3 years at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and performs the roles of a clinician, an educator, an administrator, and a researcher in the management of patients with a tracheostomy. She is currently a PhD student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and her research interest is focused on understanding quality of life in mechanically ventilated patients, especially those requiring a tracheostomy.
